Ryley’s Daily Basketball Pick - March 21st

Just as the NBA season is dwindling down, we have a big time Eastern Conference matchup between the Toronto Raptors vs the Chicago Bulls at 8 PM ET. Both these teams are fighting to stay out of the play-in tournament and need a win tonight.

The Bulls are 5th in the east, while the Raptors are trying to claw their way out of the 7th seed. Over the last week, these teams have been moving in opposite directions. The Bulls have been struggling big time, winning only two out of their last ten. The Raptors have won six of their previous seven and covered the spread four out of their last five. This season the Raptors have stepped up to the plate against teams with an above average offensive efficiency. In these types of situations the Raptors are 31-13 against the spread.

The Raptors have multiple players that can switch and guard different positions on the court. This versatility will give the Bulls problems. Even with Toronto being on a back to back, they have been solid in these spots covering 10 out of 15 opportunities. The Raptors have proven themselves as a scrappy, rough team that will not go away. With the Raptors hitting their stride and the Bulls struggling as of late, the Raptors have a good chance of leaving Chicago victorious, but I will take the points for safety. My Pick: Raptors (+4)
