PLL Week 11 Picks and Predictions

It’s the last week of the PLL regular season. I cannot believe we are already down to a week away from the start of playoffs. I appreciate everyone who has been sticking with me so far. Let’s finish out the regular season with some green, shall we?

8/20 9:30 PM EST Archers -1.5 (-140) vs Waterdogs (+110) O/U 24.5

The biggest thing I’m looking at in this game is the potential for offensive fireworks. Last week the Archers got it done against the Chaos in an 11-8 victory. The Waterdogs fell 14-12 to the Redwoods. In this season the Archers are averaging 12.7 goals a game while the Pups are at 13.1. This bodes well for the over being at 24.5. The other thing I like is that with one more week to go until the playoffs, every goal matters. The score differential is the first tiebreaker in deciding standings and everyone wants the best seed possible. Both teams are very capable of scoring. 4 of the top 10 players in points will be participating in this match up. Everything in this game points to the over and that is what I am taking. It could be the highest scoring game of the year.

The Pick: Over 24.5

8/21 Atlas -1.5 (-170) vs Chaos (+140) O/U 24.5

Once again, this game has huge last minute implications on the playoff picture. If the Chaos win then they secure the last spot in the playoffs, if they lose then their fate rests in the hands of the Cannons. The Atlas are on a two game losing streak and this is their chance to stop their late season slide. I think that the Chaos can make it a competitive game but what makes me nervous is that their goalie and reigning league MVP Blaze Riordan is labeled as questionable for this weekend’s contest. The Chaos have enough offensive talent to keep up but it may be more difficult to keep the Atlas off the board. I see it as a close one but to account for the fact that Blaze is still up in the air I think the safe play is Atlas ML.
