March 18th College Lacrosse Picks and Predictions

I know we are currently in the middle of March madness but what is better than building your basketball bankroll with a little college lacrosse. We are on a roll as we are 5-0 in the month of March and do not plan on slowing down. Lets not waste any time!!

**Odds provided by Draftkings Sportsbooks**

Virginia -2 (-215) vs Maryland (+175) O/U 27.5

I know UVA just suffered an early round exit from the March Madness tournament but luckily for us, their lacrosse team is much better. This is one of the biggest rivalries in all of college lacrosse. Last year we thought it was the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object when the two collided but it was the Terps dominating the Hoos 23-13 in the regular season. They then met the NCAA quarterfinals where the Terps once again won 18-9. I think this year is going to be a different story. The Hoos are dominating everyone they come across. Their offense is looking like a well oiled machine. They have two guys with over 30 points in Conor Shellenberger and Xander Dickson. Maryland is in “down year” which is not a slight against them given they are off the heels of an undefeated national championship. They already have 2 losses on the season. UVA is averaging 20 goals a game while only allowing 12. Maryland is averaging around 12.5 goals a game. The books are making this line close due to how last years games turned out. I do not think Maryland is going to be able to limit the Hoos’ goal scoring so I am taking UVA to cover.

The Pick Virginia -2 (-120)

Army -1.5 (-205) vs Lehigh (+165) O/U 24.5

We have a good ole fashioned Patriot League match up on our hands. The Troops are sitting at 5-1 on the year and so are the Mountain Hawks. This is their 24th matchup since 2001. Army leads the series all time 15-8, however Lehigh has won 4 out of the last 5. I think the Black Knights get back on track in the series here. They’ve looked really good this season including a win over Rutgers. In regards to the total, since 2001 only 5 of their matchups have been 25 goals or more. Army is averaging 14 goals a game while only allowing 6 and Lehigh is also averaging around 14 goals a game but is allowing 11 to opponents. I like Army in a close one and I’ll take the Under as well.

The Picks: Army -1.5 ( -145), Under 24.5 (-125)
