4th of July Fireworks: Week 4 PLL Sunday Predictions

This weekend has proved to be the most unpredictable of the season so far. We have not had the best luck with our picks so far. However, there are still two fantastic games today and you know that I never back down in the face of adversity. I once again am going to keep it short and sweet for the holiday weekend. With that being said, let's get to the picks and have a happy 4th of July.

** The PLL games will be broadcast on the NBC group of networks including Peacock TV which involves a subscription. So I will include next to each game where it can be viewed.**

7/4 12:30 PM Archers (-143) (-1.5) vs Whipsnakes (+112) (+1.5) (O/U 26.5) **NBCSN**

This one is quite possibly the most anticipated game of the season. It is fair to say that these are most definitely in the top two teams in the league. What makes it a little more spicy is that this is the Archers second game of the weekend. They’re coming into this game after an unexpected 8-7 loss to Chrome on Friday. The Chrome defense held the archers offense to a season low in goals. The Whips also suffered their first loss since 2019 last Sunday against Chrome as well. That game is hard to put into words. Some might say they didn’t try as hard considering it the second game of a doubleheader on a hot weekend without their two best players. But after Friday it’s even harder to say. What I can say is that I expect today to be electric. Both these teams have proven even though they are the best in the league, they are not unbeatable. The Whips get Zed back for today’s game but are still without Matt Rambo. This is an equal chance that this is a 1 goal game or a beat down. My pick for this game is Whipsnakes spread +1.5. The reason for this is that the Archers offense showed that it can be slowed down by a good defense, and the Whips just so happen to have one of the best defenses in the league. If their defense is firing on all cylinders then that will grant their offense maximum opportunities to put the ball in the net. I take the spread because you cannot completely count out the Archers but I think the Whipsnakes will fare well in this one.

The Pick: Whipsnakes +1.5

7/4 3:15 PM ET Atlas (-118) (-1.5) vs Chrome (-108) (+1.5) (O/U 25.5) **Peacock**

The league has done their best to make my job difficult this weekend with all of these tough call games. In the past two weeks these teams have improved dramatically. The Atlas have shown that they can hang with the top dogs while the Chrome might be the giant killers of the league. Since the injury to Jordan Wolf, the Chrome have made the necessary adjustments with the guys they have. They have had huge production out of the likes of Colin Heacock and rookie Jackson Morrill. As I have said in previous blogs the Atlas have been led by a slew of young talent and I think they will continue to lean on that in this game. There are a few factors that I am thinking about when it comes to this game. The first is wondering how teams will show up. The second is that will the double header make a difference in the Chrome performance. If the Chrome that beat the Archers and Whipsnakes in back to back games shows up then I see them winning this game. However if they falter like many teams have in their second game, then I believe that the Atlas can come away with this one. So, for this game I am going to take the safe play and roll with the Chrome spread +1.5.

The Pick: Chrome +1.5
