2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open: Picks and Predictions
After a perfect week at the Pro-Am, we head to the Mecca of golf, the most exciting tournament of the year, with the famous 16th hole.
This hole is like no other, as it is surrounded by a makeshift stadium. You really feel the energy of the fans while watching on TV. It’s one of the best tournaments all year and the perfect transition to the madness that is Super Bowl Weekend.
The Picks:
John Rahm +750
Rahm went to college at ASU, making him very familiar with the course. He can comfortably play in front of huge crowds and feeds off of the crowd’s energy as much as, if not more than any other guy on tour.
Brooks +3000
He is hungry to get back into the winning circle, after quite some time. He needs that big win to get back to the top. I like him this week as well because he loves feeding off crowds and the course plays to his strengths
Jordan Spieth +2000
He is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Tom Hoge and he has been itching for a win the last couple tournaments. Simply put, he’s just due for a win
Scottie Scheffler +3000
He is a young buck that can make a big splash in this tournament. He definitely has a shot to win it if he posts a low number on Thursday and Friday. But I like his odds to finish in the top 20 at +550. That should be easy money.
